Cat kills my hobby
The first time I tried my hand at photography, I ended up chasing my aunt's cat around her house, till he got really tired of me, climbed to the roof, perched there and meowed mockingly. I kept clicking what I thought were cat masterpieces. Unfortunately, all the prints came out looking terrible. My father saw the film processing bill, and my horrible cat photos, and impounded my camera. My photography career/hobby thus ended at the hands of a silly cat.
Microsoft revives my hobby
Several years later, I got my hands on a copy of Windows XP Home. As part of the promotional bundle, Microsoft had kindly included a 1.3 Megapixel Fujifilm digital camera. It was a life-changing bundle. Ever since then, I have been obsessed with photography, and have read countless books and tutorials on different techniques. Then along came Digital SLRs, lenses, flashes, tripods, heads ... whew ... it is tiring just thinking about all the things I've bought, sold, traded and tested before settling with Canon for several years. A few years ago, I became a bit jaded and switched to Nikon and that's where I am now.
Gear issues aside, I love to travel and shoot landscapes and birds, but my first preference is always portraiture.
Thanks for visiting my website. Have a wonderful day.
